After The Bell: Romeo

You have seen him both in the ring, behind the scenes and manning the cameras at IGNITE Wrestling. A fan favorite at IGNITE, Romeo is the Brooklyn Juggernaut and a force to be reckoned with in the squared circle.

Question: How old were you when you saw your first live wrestling match?
Romeo:  First live show I have ever been to was 2002 elimination chamber in Madison Square Garden with my step son. A moment I will never forget.

Question: Where did you begin your training and who trained you?
I started my training in North Fort Myers with New Era Wrestling. Trained by Kenneth Hugh, The Natural DB Harrison and later on with Syther

Question: What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song?
French Montana “Don’t Panic” I usually pick songs that are an extension of my NYC roots. Music to me is an extension of yourself

Question: Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business?
The people I have looked up to and studied in the business was Bam Bam Bigalow, Vader, Chris Benoit and Tax. I have studied them and continued to do so. Who I currently look up to is a good friend of mine Lince and Rich Swann. These guys have shown me so much in the business. Biggest thing I was taught from Lince was “you’re not a vet if you have been in the business for 20 years and do one show per year. You are a vet when you have match after match after match. “

Question: Who would your dream match be against?
I would love to have wrestled one time against Bam Bam honestly.

Question: Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day?
I would want to work a good friend of mine Aaron Epic

Question: What is something that not many people know about you?
A lot of people don’t know I’m a chef, dj, artist and I volunteer a lot for a lot of different causes

Question: Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling,
If I wasn’t involved in wrestling I would be still doing what I’m doing now making good food for people.
