We expect big things from this giant as we go after the bell and learn about this fascinating grappler. Question: How old were you when you saw your first live wrestling match? Ronnie Ladd: Been watching for as long as I can remember, but I was probably about 17 when I saw my first LIVE match. It was a house show. Chris Benoit and Eddie were on the card. Question: Where did you begin your training and who trained you? Ronnie Ladd: I began w/ Kevin Rhodes, but I didn’t really start training unless I signed w/ Team Vision Dojo under Chasyn Rance/Aaron Epic. Question: What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song? Ronnie Ladd: Korn – Coming Undone. I had it as a song on my gym playlist. It always got me pumped. Question: What is your favorite cheat meal? Ronnie Ladd: I eat pretty clean, far from perfect. The last real “fat boy moment” I had was this past Christmas, a HUGE party plate of chicken tenders w/ all the spiked egg nog I could drink. Question: To be honest, which do you prefer? Marvel or DC? Ronnie Ladd: Marvel, the characters have more balance to them Question: Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business? Ronnie Ladd: Undertaker, Haku, Sting, Samoa Joe, Chris Hero, Ernie Ladd, DDP, William Regal. Question: Who’s your closest friend in the industry Ronnie Ladd: I don’t know if I have that “1 friend”, I feel a complete genuine love for 90% of the guys I share a locker room with. Question: When you aren’t wrestling or training, what do you do to have fun? Ronnie Ladd: Healing up haha. Question: Who would your dream match be against? Ronnie Ladd: Undertaker Question: Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day? Ronnie Ladd: I might have a death wish for saying this, but probably Jon Davis. I’d have to eat my Wheaties that morning. Question: Are you cat person or a dog person? Ronnie Ladd: Both, but I will give dogs the edge given that a lot of cats tend to be a******s. Question: What is something that not many people know about you? Ronnie Ladd: I am a HUGE music buff. From Rakim to Radiohead. Any and all of it. It used to be a serious passion of mine. Question: Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling, I would be doing…. Ronnie Ladd: Something involving music, maybe song writing or production.
