Dancer turned professional wrestler Sofia Castillo has been making quite a splash during debut on the Florida indy wrestling scene and we can’t wait to see how far this amazing young grappler goes on her wrestling journey as she joins us on this week in After The Bell.

How old were you when you saw your first live wrestling match? 12 years old

Where did you begin your training and who trained you? I was trained by Chasyn Rance and Aaron Epic at the Team Vision Dojo

What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song? Judas by Lady Gaga. It is such a fun, upbeat song that people catch on to that it seems like the right music for my character. The beat is also very strong and dry, which makes it easier for me to dance to it.

Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business? Daniel Bryan is definitely a big influence considering all of the injuries that he had to overcome. And even though I didn’t look up to her as a wrestler as seemed really enjoyed watching AJ Lee’s personality in the ring. It seemed raw and simple, just like me. Didn’t really wear that much makeup, and she embraced the fact that she was different.

Who would your dream match be against? In a perfect world, and with much more experience, I would love to wrestle Trish Stratus. She is such a landmark for female wrestling, that I would consider it my honor to be in the ring with her.

Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day? I would love to wrestle Dynamite DiDi. There is something about her personality, maybe that she is a Latina as well, that really resonates with me and I think we could put on a pretty great show.

What is something that not many people know about you? I play the harmonica

Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling I would be…. A dancer, definitely a dancer, but I would be dancing while I go backpacking all over the world.
