Rachael Ellering Joins Mae Young Classic

Congratulations to Rachael Ellering who has been named as one of the amazing 32 participants in the WWE Mae Young Classic tournament.  Ellering who goes under the name Rachael Evers in NXT appeared at IGNITE Wrestling last July 22nd at Down For The Count facing Angel Rose (now known as Diamante with LAX in IMPACT).  We can’t express how excited we are here at IGNITE to see yet another wrestler that we have featured in our shows moving up to the largest stage in wrestling.

Rachael Ellering has been making a name for herself in sports for years.  This second generation phenom is the daughter of “Precious” Paul Ellering who has had a resurgence himself managing the Authors of Pain. She proved herself as a powerlifter, like her father did, becoming a bronze medalist at the 2014 World Powerlifting Championships in 2014 prior to embarking on a career in pro wrestling.

She made her WWE debut on NXT at an April 28, 2016 taping, in a match won by Alexa Bliss.  Ellering returned to NXT on the September 14 episode as a heel under the name Rachel Fazio, losing a match to Liv Morgan. On October 13, Ellering returned as Rachael Evers, to wrestle a match won by Ember Moon. Ellering made her SHINE debut at SHINE 34 in a match won by Tessa Blanchard.  She then made her debut in Impact Wrestling on March 2, 2017, in a match won by Sienna. During the March 3 TV Taping, Ellering was defeated by Laurel Van Ness. On March 4 at TNA One Night Only: Knockouts Knockdown 2017, Ellering lost a rematch against Laurel Van Ness.  On on April 19, 2017, Ellering returned to take part in a Battle Royal for the Number One Contender spot for the NXT Women’s Championship, however the matches resulted in a no-contest draw.
